Liverpool could battle Arsenal for 23-year-old Premier League winger

A report by Football Insider reckons Arsenal and Liverpool could battle it out for Pedro Neto in the summer, with Wolves expected to profit considerably from his sale. The Premier League giants have kept their eyes on the 23-year-old winger, with the Portuguese international likely to take up a more significant challenge.

The Merseysiders are set to embark on a crucial summer window that could see an air of change at the club. Jurgen Klopp has announced his decision to leave, while Mohamed Salah may also depart for a Saudi adventure.

Should the Egyptian leave, the sole focus of their transfer window might fall on the player who replaces Salah. Klopp considered Pedro Neto a priority, and the club might stick with his transfer target choices even after his departure.

Liverpool will have to fork out a considerable sum to sign the attacker should they decide to chase him. Wolves, who have been making handsome profits over the last two seasons with player transfers, could be in for another massive sale in the summer.

They are reportedly keen on getting at least £70-80 million as per reports and know of the growing interest from top clubs. The 23-year-old winger will likely choose to depart should a big new challenge await on the other side, with Arsenal also firmly in the race for the Portuguese international alongside Liverpool.

Arsenal to battle Liverpool for Neto
Neto has been superb this season despite missing a reasonable period with a hamstring injury. He has three goals and is joint-second for assists this season. The 23-year-old can play on both wings effectively, which makes him a potent weapon for a manager like Mikel Arteta.

Arteta have reportedly prioritised a summer move for Neto, as the Arsenal manager wants to add intense competition for Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka. The North Londoners must battle Liverpool to sign the Wolves man, who will have a huge price tag on his head.
