Fabrizio Romano reveals the interest of European giants in Liverpool wonderkid

Fabrizio Romano has given a recent update on the situation of Liverpool and the youngster, Kieran Morrison. Liverpool have a number of academy products in their recent senior squads. The likes of Conor Bradley, Jarell Quansah, Jones and Bobby Clark have all made appearances this season. Morrison is also a shining Liverpool prodigy and is well-known to everyone.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the new deal for Morrison is almost ready but he can be a speculation for some clubs. Speaking exclusively to CaughtOffside for his latest Daily Briefing column, Romano explained that there was interest in Morrison. However, a new deal at Anfield looks to be agreed and almost completed. The journalist also adds that he’s not sure about his future at the club as well. It will be intriguing to see whether he gets a first-team call or a loan deal somewhere.

The 17-year-old looks to have an exciting future ahead of him. Though, these decisions will have to be made a bit later as LFC are set to have a new manager and sporting director in place soon. Romano said,

“Liverpool talent Kieran Morrison is set to sign a new three-year deal at the club despite being linked with move away last summer. The highly-rated young midfielder, born in 2006, has verbally agreed to new contract. It will soon be time to review documents and then announce.

English and German clubs wanted him before this agreement, so it looks like a good move by Liverpool to secure his future. In terms of what happens next, whether he gets a chance in the first-team or goes out on loan, this is not something clear now, we will see next season with new manager and with new director what they decide to do in terms of loan and similar. Now the mission was his contract extension; and it’s done.”
