Report: Liverpool have set £20m asking price for 'exceptional' player, he could now leave

Liverpool have reportedly set a £20m asking price on Caoimhin Kelleher, who could be set to leave Anfield for good this year.

The 25-year-old goalkeeper has once again spent the season as backup to Alisson Becker, with the Brazilian international arguably the best shot-stopper in the Premier League this campaign.

Whilst Kelleher has made 11 appearances this season in the UEFA Europa League and League Cup, it is unlikely that the Republic of Ireland star will replace Alisson anytime soon between the sticks.

And according to the Daily Mail, the Cork-born keeper could be on the move, with Liverpool setting a £20m asking price for Kelleher, who is open to leaving for regular football.

Lauded by Jurgen Klopp as an ‘exceptional’ keeper, it’s understandable why Kelleher would now be ready to depart Anfield to forge a legacy of his own away from Liverpool.

And with the Reds now warming to the idea of selling Kelleher, this summer could see the Irish international make the move away from Liverpool having been a backup for so many years.
