Real Madrid and Liverpool on alert as Mbappé delivers cryptic message

After winning the Trophée des Champions, Paris Saint-Germain winger Kylian Mbappé spoke to the French media, and of course, they needed to ask about his future.

Real Madrid is eager to acquire the 25-year-old, but indications are they are not prepared to wait indefinitely and have set a deadline for their offer. As a result, this could be the last time the Frenchman has a chance to join the Spanish giants.

Additionally, Liverpool is actively vying for the signature of the 2022 FIFA World Cup runner-up. Furthermore, if the move materializes, he would serve as the long-term successor to Mohamed Salah.

Nonetheless, Mbappé provided an update on the situation as the entire football world awaits where the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner will decide to continue his career.

“I didn’t make my decision, but we have an agreement with President Al Khelaifi, so it means that all parties are protected,” Mbappé said (h/t Fabrizio Romano). “Focus is on the team, not on my situation… In 2022, I didn’t know my decision until May… If I know what I want to do, I shouldn’t let the decision drag on. It wouldn’t make any sense.”

PSG remains quiet on their end, but it feels as though they’ll do their best to hold onto the superstar and avoid losing him this year.
