Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz did the same thing after Jurgen Klopp gave them time off from Liverpool last week

It’s technically the winter break at the moment for Liverpool. With no game on this weekend, Jurgen Klopp gave a bit of time off for his players.

It was an opportunity for a lot of them to get out of Liverpool for a little bit, go on a holiday or attend new events. And of course, spend precious time with family and friends.

Undoubtedly, it will have been a much needed and refreshing rest for the players who are about to embark on a gruelling second-half of the season. A second-half where Liverpool are expected to go head-to-head with Manchester City once again.

Liverpool’s South American duo both did the same thing with their time off at the weekend. Darwin Nunez went back to his former club Almeria and watched them action against Girona in La Liga. He was spotted by many eagled eyed Liverpool fans.

However, what went under the radar is that Luis Diaz did the same thing. He went back to his former club Porto to watch them in action in the league against Braga. His return was less talked about on social media but he was spotted by journalist Michael Rincon.

It’s good to see that both Diaz and Nunez have kept close ties with their former clubs. The fact that they chose to spend their time off watching football also highlights just how obsessed their are both with the game.
