Chelsea now willing to sell ‘fantastic’ player for £40m in January after links to Liverpool

Chelsea are reportedly willing to listen to offers for Conor Gallagher, with Liverpool linked with a move for the England international.

The 23-year-old midfielder has been a mainstay for Mauricio Pochettino this season as Gallagher has established himself as one of Chelsea’s better players this campaign.

However, despite this, Gallagher could now be set to be sold in the January transfer window, with Liverpool one of the clubs reportedly interested in signing the midfielder.

And now, according to the Athletic, Chelsea will listen to offers worth £40m for Gallagher, with the Blues looking to raise funds to sign a world-class attacker next month.

Praised as ‘fantastic’ by former Chelsea manager Graham Potter, Gallagher would be an exceptional addition to Liverpool’s midfield if a deal can be done.

And whilst some serious questions will be raised over why the Blues would even want to sell one of their better players this season, Liverpool will not have any complaints at all about such a decision.

Liverpool can make Chelsea look stupid by signing Conor Gallagher

Chelsea’s decisions both on and off the pitch under new owner Todd Bohely have been crazy, to say the least, and selling Gallagher could be the latest in a long line of mistakes.

As for Liverpool, adding the England international to their ranks could be a great move, with Gallagher a player who is perfect for Jurgen Klopp’s style of play.

Young, versatile and homegrown, there’s a lot to love about Gallagher in regards to a potential move to Liverpool next month in the January transfer window.

And if the Reds can somehow strike a deal with Chelsea, Liverpool will have a major addition onboard in their bid to win the Premier League title.
