BBC pundit says Liverpool would walk the league if they signed 24-year-old

Liverpool are well and truly in the title race this season.

A win against Arsenal on Saturday would mean that the Reds sit top of the league on Christmas Day, and they will be hoping to kick on and push again in the new year.

Whether or not Liverpool can pull away from the chasing pack remains to be seen, but according to Clinton Morrison, speaking on the BBC Radio Five Live Football Daily Podcast, the title race would be over by March if Liverpool currently had Declan Rice in their team.

Morrison says that Liverpool have a huge defensive midfield gap at the moment, and he thinks Rice would be the perfect player to fill that void.

Morrison shared his verdict on the 24-year-old.

“They have one of the best sixes in the world at the moment with Declan Rice, he was outstanding against Brighton, he can do everything, he was very good at West Ham and he’s an outstanding player,” Morrison said.

“I have loads of mates who are Liverpool fans, and they are envious, if they had got Declan Rice, imagine that Liverpool team,” Hutchison said.

“They would’ve won it, it would’ve been over by March,” Morrison said.
