Video: Jurgen Klopp blown away by £35m Liverpool player after getting up close in training

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been keeping a close eye on his players in training this week and is seemingly impressed with Alexis Mac Allister.

The Reds are preparing to face Luton Town this weekend in a tough away game at Kenilworth Road.

Klopp will be fully aware of the challenges his team face against the Hatters. In the end, Liverpool’s quality should tell and another three points really should be incoming for the Anfield side.

Of course, given how Luton play, it might take a moment of magic from distance to set the Reds up to win, and midfielder Alexis Mac Allister looks like he’s ready to contribute.

In a video shared by the official Liverpool social media channels, a short clip has been doing the rounds of Mac Allister impressing Klopp.

During a shooting drill, Klopp is up close and personal with the Argentina midfielder and asks him to show him something. Mac Allister duly obliges, controlling the ball before firing in a curling effort into the top corner, much to the delight of Klopp and those watching on.

Klopp will very much be hoping Mac Allister can start to produce this sort of finishing in game.

The £35m signing has yet to score for Liverpool, albeit he has been asked to play deeper in some games.

Looking the business in front of Klopp
There’s nothing better than doing something really impressive in football while someone is watching on closely. All the way down to Sunday League, we all love it when something comes off in front of people we know.

Mac Allister will have been delighted to show Klopp a little piece of his quality here. Sure, the goals haven’t come yet but we saw with Brighton that he is more than capable of finding the net on occasion.

Liverpool know they’ve got a good one with Mac Allister and Klopp’s reaction here is nice to see.

At Luton, Klopp will be hoping for something similar to break down what will no doubt be a deep block and stubborn defence.
