Report: Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool's staff have all been working to improve 22-year-old player's passing in training

Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool staff have reportedly been at work in training on improving Curtis Jones’ passing.

According to the Athletic, specialised work has been done at Kirkby to improve Jones’ speed on the ball, with the results showing already after the midfielder’s impressive start to the season.

Jones has established himself as a key member of Klopp’s starting XI this campaign, and the 22-year-old is only growing into his new role at Liverpool.

Whilst Dominik Szoboszlai has stolen all the headlines, Jones’ performances have been just as good, with the England U-21 star enjoying some of his best football yet for Liverpool.

Indeed, the midfielder is going from strength to strength with the Reds, and work on the training pitch is clearly producing results, with Jones hitting new heights every single game with the Anfield side.

Moreover, Jones is seemingly loving his time as a part of Liverpool’s new-look midfield, with the academy graduate grabbing his role with both hands.

Whilst the flurry of goals from the end of last season have dried up, there’s no denying that Jones has been exceptional for Liverpool this campaign.

Klopp naming Jones in the Reds’ last three Premier League fixtures is no mere coincidence, and the midfielder could become a superstar for the Anfield side in the years to come.

Whilst there’s still some aspects of his game that needs some work, it’s evident that Jones is putting in the work in training to reach his full potential, and club staff and Klopp are pushing him in the right direction.
