Report: Club now fuming with 28-year-old player, after leaving Liverpool this summer

Werder Bremen are reportedly fuming with how the signing of Naby Keita has panned out, with the former Liverpool player yet to play for his new club,

According to Bild, the Bundesliga side are not pleased with Keita’s fitness, with the midfielder picking up an injury in pre-season that has kept the 28-year-old out on the sideline for the entire campaign.

Injuries were the main reason Keita didn’t work out at Liverpool, and it appears that the same problems have followed the former Anfield star back to Germany with Bremen.

As per the report, whilst Keita is back in first-team training, there’s still no timeline on when the midfielder could make his professional debut for Bremen.

Indeed, there’s no denying that the former RB Leipzig star could rediscover his form in Germany with Bremen, though that’s if Keita can stay fully fit.

And with the German side already annoyed with how Keita’s fitness issues, there’s a chance that the Bundesliga club will find themselves in the same position Liverpool were in over the midfielder.

Keita’s start to life in Bremen has been nothing short of disastrous yet also par for the course, with the midfielder picking up an injury immediately after joining a cruel joke of the highest order.

Yet there’s every chance that Keita can return to his best in the coming weeks, and Liverpool fans will want nothing more than to see the former no. 8 succeed once again.

Indeed, Keita has the quality to become a superstar in the Bundesliga, and Bremen need to have patience if they’re to get the best out of the 28-year-old this season.
