Ben Doak lands Liverpool long-term deal as highly-rated ex-Celtic kid offers five word response

The 17-year-old has had a meteoric rise since making the switch to Anfield from Celtic back in 2022. To date the Scotland Under-21 star has made six senior appearances for Jurgen Klopp's side with his debut coming against Derby County in the Carabao Cup last November. His English Premier League bow came the following month as he made a cameo in the Boxing Day win over Aston Villa at Villa Park.

His direct style has had supporters buzzing for the future over the youngster with many pundits and professionals in the game tipping the ex-Hoops kid to make a huge impact. The Tartan Army have even been calling on Steve Clarke to include him in the Scotland senior squad as the excitement builds over the attacking talent.

Doak was heavily involved up in Liverpool's pre-season preparations this summer and was part of the travelling group for the trips to Germany and Singapore. He impressed during those camps and scored his first senior goal in a 4-0 win over Leicester City during that period.

He's already featured for the senior team in the new season after appearing off the bench against Chelsea on the opening day. He's been a regular in the matchday squads for the Reds and will be hoping for more top team exposure after securing his long-term future with the club. That could start this midweek as Liverpool kick-off their Europa League bid.

Doak shared the news of his new contract on his Instagram as he shared the post and wrote: "Happy to get this done!".
